2019 GLASS Accessibility Fair

GA—Georgia Libraries for Accessible Statewide Services (GLASS) will be hosting a FREE accessibility fair. This
event will be held May 11 from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm at the Headquarters Library, 823 Telfair Street, Augusta. Are you
someone living with a disability and need help finding resources in your community? The accessibility fair is the right
place to start! A raffle will be held with the chance to win different prizes. A sign language interpreter will be available to translate for those who speak American Sign Language (ASL) during the fair.

AARP Georgia helps Georgians aged 50 and above live their best lives.
CSRA – RC Area Agency on Aging
Our mission is to to assist older adults, persons with disabilities, their families and caregivers to maintain dignity and independence in their communities. The CSRA AAA provides services to 14 counties of the CSRA: Burke, Columbia, Glascock, Hancock, Jefferson, Jenkins, Lincoln, McDuffie, Richmond, Screven, Taliaferro, Warren, Washington, and Wilkes. Services include the Elderly and Disabled Waiver Program, Elderly Legal Assistance Program, Home & Community Based Services, Nutrition Services, and Personal Care Services
Exceptional Family Member Program Fort Gordon
The Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP) provides comprehensive support to family members with special needs. EFMP takes an all-inclusive approach to coordinate military and civilian community, educational, medical, housing, and personnel services to help Soldiers and their Families with special needs.
Georgia Center for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing
The Georgia Center for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing’s mission is to serve individuals who are Deaf, Deaf-Blind, Late–deafened, people with Hearing Loss, and others with respect to all communication modes; by providing support services, advocacy, and education, which foster self-determination, empowerment and independence.
Hilltop Riding Stables provides special assistance riding for those who need it. Military, retirees, DOD, and civilians are welcome.
Medical Associates Plus
Our mission is to provide quality and affordable primary health care to residents of Greater Augusta and the surrounding areas.MAP provides affordable care regardless of insurance status. No one will be denied access to services due to inability to pay. Medical Associates Plus accepts most private insurances, Medicare, Medicaid and CHIP. They also offer a discounted/sliding fee schedule based on income and family size for the uninsured and underinsured.
National Center for Learning Disabilities
The mission of NCLD is to improve the lives of the 1 in 5 children and adults nationwide with learning and attention issues—by empowering parents and young adults, transforming schools and advocating for equal rights and opportunities. We’re working to create a society in which every individual possesses the academic, social and emotional skills needed to succeed in school, at work and in life.
National Federation of the Blind Georgia CSRA Chapter
The National Federation of the Blind, headquartered in Baltimore, Maryland, is the oldest and largest nationwide organization of blind Americans. Founded in 1940, the NFB consists of affiliates, chapters, and divisions in the fifty states, Washington, DC, and Puerto Rico. The NFB defends the rights of blind people of all ages and provides information and support to families with blind children, older Americans who are losing vision, and more. We believe in the hopes and dreams of blind people and work together to transform them into reality.
Senior Services, Augusta-Richmond County Department of Recreation and Parks
The purpose of Senior Services is to provide community facilities where persons age 60 or older can meet to pursue mutual interests, receive services, and take part in activities that will enhance their dignity and quality of life, support their independence, and encourage their continued involvement in the community.
Tools for Life, Georgia’s Assistive Technology Act Program, is dedicated to increasing access to and acquisition of assistive technology (AT) devices and services for Georgians of all ages and disabilities so they can live, learn, work and play independently and with greater freedom in communities of their choice.
Walton Options for Independent Living
Since 1994, Walton Options has provided services and resources to help people with all types of disabilities live independently within the community. As a private, non-profit, non-residential Center for Independent Living (CIL), we serve 16 counties in Georgia and 10 counties in South Carolina.
We believe all persons including those with disabilities, should be able to participate in their community. At Walton Options, we promote equality, inclusion and independence though Personal Choice, Community Access, Education and Employment. Our goal is to help each person on their personal journey to independence to find and utilize the necessary, available resources.
