Accessibility Through Innovation Program

Accessibility Through Innovation

Saturday, April 27 at 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Augusta Public Library

In partnership with our local USS Star League, discover the different ways that technology plays a role in accessibility. There will be dynamics presentations and demonstrations by the Georgia Library Service for the Blind and Print Disabled, Augusta-Richmond County Fire Station #2, and more!  Best for ages 8 and up. Registration is not required.

In a world that is ever-changing, we find that it is imperative to explore the importance of innovation, so that inclusivity is at the forefront of our behaviors and creations. Giving attendees the opportunity to explore adaptive game controllers, virtual reality headsets, and braille LEGO bricks, we hope that this programs redefines how we view inclusivity and accessibility. This program will provoke those young and older to advocate for the usability of products and technology for everyone, no matter their abilities.
